Hebrews 11 is often called the “Hall of Faith.” However, that title can be easily misunderstood. This series is a testimony—a witness—of ordinary people who lived in loyal alignment with God amid uncertainty, suffering, delay, and even failure.

When I finished the series, it seemed natural to use it as the basis for a new book. It's not a clone of the devotional series, but it takes the devotions further into the lives of the "witnesses" and how God chose to use them, regardless of their uncertainties, suffering, delays, disobedience, and even failure.

So, here's the book! I'm excited to share it with you.

Let me share just one more thing ... one of the most important things I learned while studying these men and women is this: Faith, in Scripture, is not about the certainty of outcomes… It is about allegiance to God amid the unknown.

Allegiance. Constancy. Dedication. Devotion. Faithfulness. Fidelity. Loyalty.

Faith cannot be measured by the outcome. Rather, loyal, faithful allegiance is what God seeks from His people.

Keep that in mind as you read about each of the witnesses noted in Hebrews 11. You'll be blessed. More importantly, you'll be challenged to maintain allegiance to God despite the circumstances you face in life.
