Let's face it! We can be pretty stubborn at times when it comes to being told what to do or how to do things.

When God created mankind, He gave us all free will to make choices based on what we felt was right or what we wanted. Sadly, however, free will has exposed our choice to resist God and reject His ways from the beginning of time.

Unchecked free will has brought death, destruction, pain, and just about every adverse situation known to man.

While God is glorified through our devotion, worship, and obedience, He gives every man the right to choose not to glorify Him. Of course, we cannot escape the fact that there are always consequences in refusing to love, honor, obey, and worship the Creator.

What do you will to do? What does your free will look like from a heavenly perspective?

Hopefully, the sacrifice of praise and heartfelt worship flows continuously from our hearts, whether scheduled or spontaneous. It should be mankind’s will to worship God. Choosing self-will over God's will is nothing less than:

Rebellion.
Self-will.
Pride.
Idolatry.
Disobedience.
Deception.
Manipulation.

Sadly, the list could go on and on! Thankfully, that small, still voice offers us a way to follow God when we're facing an intersection between God's will and our own.

Free will was given to mankind so God would have a family who chose to love, honor, obey, and worship Him and Him alone.

Make it a habit to join the rest of God's creation in praising Him. He is certainly worthy! It would be devastating to one day realize that our praise was absent, and the very rocks had to voice their praise in our place!

Prayer:
Father, forgive me for the times I withheld my praise, purposely or unintentionally. Help me keep my eyes steadily fixed on Jesus and join with all of creation, for You are worthy of all praise. Amen.
