FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD
→
Oh, how often we sell short the power of Christ at work in our lives by our limited understanding of His fullness that dwells within us!
FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS' SAKE
→
I believe the key word is not necessarily “persecuted” but “righteousness” because it is because of righteousness that many face persecution.
THE HEART OF GOD
→
Our Merciful Father made a way for us all even in the midst of His own grief over the wickedness of mankind.
HE WILL BRING YOU OUT
→
“Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler” (Psalm 91:3).
EVERY CHRISTIAN'S LOT
→
In the words of George Whitefield, "we would never suffer justly as an evil-doer, but only for righteousness sake."
I WILL PRAISE HIM STILL
→
When the sweet voice of victory chases away despair, When the infallible Word of the Lord strengthens faith, When things of this world fade in the Light of His presence, I will praise Him still.
THAT'S ALL I NEEDED
→
What confidence we find in four simple words. Not confidence in our ability to pray. Not confidence in our circumstance. No! Confidence in His willingness to step in and work on our behalf...
KEEP IN TOUCH
→
Connect to the Vine, draw your very life-breath from the Source of life. Open the door to your heart and invite Him to set up housekeeping.
IT IS GOD'S NATURE
→
The promises of God weren’t made to lay dormant between the covers of a book. They are living and powerful and ready to be enacted on our behalf.
MIGHTY TO SAVE
→
What proof do we have that He is indeed “mighty to save” regardless of what it is we are facing? As Spurgeon so clearly states: “Jesus is mighty to save; the best proof of which lies in the fact that he has saved you."
A UNIQUE CONTRAST
→
It is because of the contrast between the blanket of pure snow and the cardinal cloaked in brilliant scarlet that I’m drawn to consider how our walk with Christ impacts the status quo of today’s society...
WORMS HIDE THEMSELVES
→
While to others we may appear to be wise, gentle, kind, courteous, and loving, there are worms living under the green sod hidden from plain view
I SURRENDER
→
Surrender: A constant theme in a believer's life. Every day we find ourselves in a position to make choices ... do we surrender our will for the will of God?
OH, FOR GRACE
→
We cannot separate who Christ is from what Christ gives. He gave his all so we might live. He is the bread that came down from heaven, a fulfillment of the gift of manna to God’s chosen people wandering in the desert.
THE FINAL HOURS
→
While it is a privilege to serve God in any capacity, it should never be a reason for boasting regardless of position, gift, maturity level or service offered to the Kingdom.
WHAT LODGES OR DWELLS WITHIN?
→
Lodging: Taking up residence. Inhabiting. Dwelling within. Becoming one with. Being recognized as. Enclosed within. Situated. Within. Abiding in. A habitation. Contained within. Oh … the list could go on and on.
HITHERTO, AN ARCHAIC WORD
→
"Are there no birds in yonder branches singing? Surely there must be many, and they all sing of mercy received hitherto." -Spurgeon
JESUS SHALL MY PORTION BE
→
It may be a silly detail that just seems to speak to me at this particular time. The word “be” at the end of the sentence emphatically denotes permanence. It is as if the gavel has sounded, declaring the authority of Christ in the midst of the statement, that He shall forever my portion be.
